Investment Banking – Vice President

The role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most diverse technology transactions, primarily across the Software, Digital Media, Marketplaces, Fintech & Digital Services sectors. The candidate will have five or more years’ experience being fully involved in transactions, probably having spent some time at a bulge bracket bank, and will have developed modelling and drafting skills along with strong numeracy and Microsoft Office skills alongside a basic understanding of accounting, and is likely to be currently FCA regulated. They must have a genuine passion for technology and investment banking, should come from an excellent academic background with a tertiary level education probably with a finance or economics focus, be highly numerical and articulate and have command of at least one European language in addition to business standard written and spoken English. The candidate must be a team player and also keen to take on responsibility and be competent at delegation. Key qualities include being able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, being highly self-motivated and having a high degree of stamina to work within a high energy and focused team environment.
The candidate should be capable of undertaking the following without significant Partner involvement:

• Ensuring that tasks are completed and followed up on for themselves and their team without prompting
• General project management
• Authoring of sector research as well as company reports
• Reviewing and reporting on potential leads
• Production of marketing materials for clients such as pitches, reports, presentations, financial analysis, etc
• Taking responsibility for co-managing and managing deals including attending and managing client meetings
• General client management
• Liaison with and management of third party advisors such as lawyers and accountants
• Providing training and support to juniors, particularly on transaction processes and internal models and tools
• Production of corporate marketing materials such as pitches and conference presentations
• Building sector expertise and a powerful personal network
