Group Finance Manager

This is a pivotal role supporting the Group CFO, covering all areas of finance, operating collaboratively as part of an international team and working with suppliers and clients at all times. This role will be attractive to someone who enjoys managing and being at the Group nexus of finance and operations.

The successful candidate will most likely have five or more years’ experience in an FCA regulated environment, probably an investment bank or corporate finance or private equity house. They will be a qualified accountant with strong excel modelling and Microsoft Office skills, and a good knowledge of asset management accounting and international consolidation. They must have an excellent academic background with a tertiary level education with a finance or economics focus, be highly numerical and articulate and have business standard written and spoken English. The candidate must be a competent team player and keen to take on responsibility. Key qualities include being able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset, being highly self-motivated and having a high degree of stamina to work within a high energy and focused team environment.

The candidate should be comfortable with performing a wide range of roles, including:
• Overseeing regular reporting of outsourced finance teams
• Group cash flow and treasury management
• Management of the key invoicing and internal revenue model control systems
• Billing (external and intercompany), debtor and creditor management
• Management of group expenses
• Transfer pricing, VAT returns, FATCA, CRS, AIFMD and other tax and compliance matters
• Weekly and monthly management reporting
• Management of the year end processes for the group domestically and internationally
• Assistance with data preparation for the regulatory returns process with the FCA, FINRA, SFC and other regulators
• Supporting fund management operations
• Such duties and exercise of such powers as line management may from time to time properly assign

The candidate should possess the following attributes:

• Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences
• Ability to understand financial accounts and a number of regulatory drivers
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Ensure that tasks are completed and followed up on without prompting
• First class project management skills

The salary for this role will be £55-60k
