GP Bullhound strengthens its global team for 2018
26 January 2018 – After a record year in which GP Bullhound has closed deals with some of the tech sector’s best entrepreneurs as well as launched its fourth fund, the firm continues to strengthen its global team with a number of significant hires and promotions. Across the firm there are 17 promotions with 13 in Corporate Finance, two in Fund Management and two in Operations.
Claudio Alvarez promoted to Partner, Corporate Finance
Claudio joined the Corporate Finance team as an Analyst in 2007 and with his sector expertise in Digital Transformation, Fintech and Enterprise Software has become an established dealmaker. He has led some of GP Bullhound’s marquee transactions such as 192.com, LendInvest, Fjord and The BIO Agency. In 2017 he led the sales of The Cocktail and Paradigma.
Joakim Dal promoted to Partner, Asset Management
Joakim leads the Asset Management team from the firm’s Stockholm office, having joined in 2014. He has been instrumental in securing investments in Spotify, Wallapop and many other European success stories. Joakim will work with the broader GP Bullhound team to invest Fund IV, a new €65m fund.
Alexis Scorer promoted to Executive Director, Corporate Finance
Alexis is leading the firm’s drive into Data Analytics and Computer Vision, based out of our London office. Recent notable deals include the sale of Aquila Insights to Merkle and the sale of Splash Damage to Leyou Technologies in Hong Kong.
Carl Wessberg promoted to Executive Director, Corporate Finance
Carl heads up the Group’s Corporate Finance business in Sweden where he has built a dynamic team covering the Scandinavian region. Recent notable deals include the sale of Icomera to ENGIE Ineo and Limes Audio to Google.
Chris Graves promoted to Executive Director, Corporate Finance
Chris joined from Ingenious Media in 2014 and leads the Digital Media practice. Recent notable deals include the investment by Exponent Private Equity in to Bullitt Group and the investment by Dentsu Aegis Network in to Gleam Futures.
Alon Kuperman promoted to Director, Asset Management
Alon joined in 2017 having previously worked at Atomico, Silver Lake and BofA Merrill Lynch. He has particular responsibility for our portfolio companies in the UK as well as making new investments across Europe.
Elsa Hu joins GP Bullhound in Hong Kong as Director, Corporate Finance
Elsa is a highly experienced banker with over 10 years’ experience honed at Goldman Sachs and most recently at China Renaissance Securities where she led the cross-border M&A efforts focusing on China outbound activities.
