Investor Allstars shortlist celebrates the strength and velocity of Europe’s brightest stars in tech

Investor Allstars 2018 shortlist announced

London, 21 September 2018 – GP Bullhound and Growthbusiness have unveiled the shortlist for their 16th annual Investor Allstars Awards, to reveal an all-star cast of digital pioneers who are driving the growth of the European digital economy.

The Investor Allstars 2018 Awards ceremony will take place on 4 October at the Hilton, Park Lane, London, and will bring together the leading figures of Europe’s investment landscape, along with many of Europe’s most successful technology entrepreneurs and innovators. Tech magician and hacker Tom Webb will be the event’s keynote speaker, and Charlotte Hawkins will host the evening.

GP Bullhound’s Managing Partner, Manish Madhvani, commented: “This year’s shortlist features the brightest stars in the tech industry from across the continent – all of these companies are at the forefront of developments in the tech sector and demonstrate a high velocity and resilience, the key ingredients for success in Europe’s tech industry.”

Niki Dowdall, MD Events & Marketing at Bonhill Group plc commented: “The shortlist for the Investor Allstars Awards 2018 is more impressive than ever before. These companies embody the exceptional achievements of Europe’s digital economy and the future prospects for the trail-blazing tech talent.”

The Awards return during a landmark year for Europe’s tech community, with recent research from GP Bullhound indicating that the European technology ecosystem is generating an unprecedented number of billion-dollar businesses. 2017 marked the highest year of tech investment on record for European billion-dollar companies, with $20bn raised within Europe.

In the afternoon of 4 October, some of the most exciting technology companies in Europe will take part in the challenge to be crowned Europe’s Allstar Company of the Year. Egress, Mambu, OpenClassrooms, Partnerize, Topia and Volocopter will present their pitches before a panel of 40 high profile investors, which will vote to select the winner.

The Investor Allstars Awards 2018 are organised by GP Bullhound, the global technology advisory and investment firm, and GrowthBusiness.co.uk, a Bonhill plc publication specialising in providing information for entrepreneurs and leaders of fast-growth business.

The event is sponsored by Orrick, Barclays, Berenberg, Bird&Bird, Calibre One, Cooley, Shoosmiths, Taylor Wessing and Withers Tech alongside a media partnership with WIRED.
