About the Client
GP Bullhound acted as the exclusive financial advisor to In2media group on its sale to KMD.
About the deal
In2media group will continue as an independent unit within KMD and provide premier technological, digital, and creative skill sets to meet the growing demand for digital transformation services. As an integral part of KMD’s future strategy, In2media group is expected to employ more than 200 top tier consultants and developers at year-end. This represents GP Bullhound’s 7th transaction in Denmark and the completion of GP Bullhound’s 11th transaction in 2017, and further underlines the firm’s expertise in advising digital agency category leaders, following on from previous transactions completed for clients such as The Cocktail (sold to Wunderman), Sequence (sold to Salesforce), Karmarama (sold to Accenture), Potato (sold to AKQA), The Bio Agency (sold to Tech Mahindra), Essence (sold to WPP), Designit (sold to Wipro) and Fjord (sold to Accenture), among others.
Tim Frank Andersen, Chairman of In2media group commented: “By teaming up with Denmark’s largest IT company, while maintaining our independence, we get the best possible opportunities to further develop what we have created over the last ten years. GP Bullhound’s deep sector expertise and high degree of professionalism have been key factors in identifying and realising this opportunity.”
Sven Raeymaekers, Partner at GP Bullhound, commented: “We are delighted to have advised In2Media group on this transaction. Linking up with KMD will allow the team to cement its position as one of the leading Digital Transformation consultancies in Denmark, while continuing to grow its footprint across the Nordics.”
