GP Bullhound appoints Sven Raeymaekers as Partner

Stockholm, 3 December 2015 – GP Bullhound, the technology investment bank, today announced that Sven Raeymaekers has joined its Investment Banking team as a Partner.

Mr Raeymaekers brings over 15 years of mobile and internet experience to GP Bullhound. Most recently he was Head of Business Development at Microsoft’s Phone Division, driving transformation and change through acquisitions, divestitures, software sourcing, technology licensing and strategic partnering initiatives.

Prior to Microsoft, he headed up business development and strategic partnering for Nokia’s Devices and Services Group, similarly responsible for a global portfolio of initiatives to scale, transform and re-position products and business.

Before his corporate career, Sven worked at several technology start-ups including First Hop in Finland and MobiComp in Portugal. Originally from Belgium, and having lived and worked abroad since 2003, Sven will have a global dealmaking role, focusing primarily, but not exclusively, on further strengthening GP Bullhound’s position in the Nordics and the Benelux.

Per Roman, Managing Partner of GP Bullhound, said: “We are very proud to increase the breadth and depth of our banking team with Sven joining us. Further to the roles he held at Microsoft and Nokia, Sven brings with him a wealth of experience in large corporate M&A, combining a deep knowledge of mobile and internet with a strong interest in technology and media start-ups”.

Sven Raeymaekers commented: “I am excited to join Europe’s leading technology investment bank and look forward to contributing to its further international expansion”.
