GP Bullhound advised Customer Thermometer on its acquisition by Exclaimer
Simplifying customer experience in a click.
San Francisco, 10 February 2021 - GP Bullhound acted as exclusive financial adviser to Customer Thermometer, a leading customer surveying SaaS company, on the sale of its business to Exclaimer, the global leader in email signature management software, backed by Insight Partners.

Customer Thermometer provides one-click surveys that allow organisations of any size to capture customer feedback in real time. By delivering a total view of customer satisfaction at key points of the customer lifecycle, and presenting a visible sign of dedication to customer feedback and service, Customer Thermometer enables companies to respond immediately to resolve problems and improve interactions with their customers.

Lindsay Willott, Founder of Customer Thermometer, and Jim Turner, CEO, stated: “We are seeing an ever-greater shift towards customer experience across sectors, as businesses rapidly come to understand how critical it is to both lifetime value and reputation management. We are delighted to join the Exclaimer team at this most exciting of times. This partnership gives email users the world over the opportunity to get superb insight and feedback from existing customer touchpoints.”

Jonathan Cantwell, Partner at GP Bullhound, added: “We are proud to have helped Customer Thermometer find its perfect strategic partner in Exclaimer and complete a successful deal for the company. Both teams were great to work with. The combination helps Exclaimer further strengthen its position as the leader in email signature management. We look forward to seeing their growth and success for years to come.”

This represents GP Bullhound’s 20th software transaction in the last year, and is a further testament to the firm’s expertise in the CX and marketing software space, following deals completed for AppBuddy (acquired by Validity), Talkwalker (acquired Nielsen Social) and Synthesio (acquired by Ipsos), among others.
