Optimising and securing multi-cloud connectivity.
Paris, 10 December 2019 - GP Bullhound acted as exclusive financial advisor to InterCloud on a €22 million Series C led by Orange Digital Ventures. Other investors included Open CNP, UL Invest and Weber Invest alongside existing investors Cap Horn Invest, Ventech, Hi Inov, SNCF Digital Ventures and BPI.

InterCloud is the only Software-Defined Cloud Interconnect (SDCI) provider that delivers a secure, end-to-end managed service. The company’s private connectivity platform helps businesses solve security, performance and flexibility issues while leveraging multiple public clouds to support their business and IT strategy. The company has built a state-of-the-art solution that can be easily embedded into all parts of the cloud value chain. InterCloud has secured strong alliances with major cloud service providers, cloud application providers and outsourcers.

Jérôme Dilouya, CEO of InterCloud, said: ‘We are thrilled to welcome new investors that will be able to support us in our commercial deployment in Europe, leveraging recent successes to win this market.’

Guillaume Bonneton, Partner at GP Bullhound, and Joy Sioufi, Director, added: ‘It has been a great pleasure to work with InterCloud. Finding the right sector experts for the next phase will be instrumental for the company to expand its reach and become the European leader of interconnectivity.’

The transaction is a further testament to GP Bullhound’s expertise in software and cloud connectivity, with 10 transactions completed in the last 12 months including the investment of Apax Digital in Signavio, the sale of Budget Insight to Arkéa, the sale of Appbuddy to Validity, and the investment of Bessemer into Mambu among many others. This is also a testament to the firm’s growing presence in the French market.
