GP BULLHOUND ADVISED I-MEDIA ON ITS INVESTMENT FROM MAYFAIR EQUITY PARTNERS

Building the UK’s leading Digital Out-Of-Home media network for motorists

London, 13 September 2024 - GP Bullhound advised i-media on its investment from Mayfair Equity Partners.

i-media has developed the UK’s largest network of full motion large-format digital screens at Motorway Service Areas (“MSAs”) via exclusive partnerships. With a presence at 130 roadside locations, i-media gives advertisers access to UK motorists, a varied and affluent audience, reaching an average of 6.3 million weekly visitors and more than 31 million unique visitors annually in a high dwell-time environment.

Mayfair’s backing will help i-media to accelerate the roll out of digital screens across the MSA network, invest in new data capabilities, and develop the rapidly growing opportunity for Digital Out-Of-Home (“DOOH”) in programmatic advertising.

Jon Lewis, CEO of i-media, commented “At i-media, we deliver dynamic digital content to broadcast-sized, high-quality audiences throughout the UK. GP Bullhound’s deep expertise in advertising and Out-of-Home were essential in delivering this transaction”.

Simon Nicholls, Partner, and Ravi Ghedia, Managing Director, at GP Bullhound commented: “We’re excited by the growth opportunity in Digital Out-of-Home, which has material upside as true programmatic emerges, and i-media is well-placed to exploit this opportunity through its unique closed loop network and application of data”.

This transaction is further testament to GP Bullhound’s position as a leading adviser globally in the Digital Services sector, having recently advised Unlimited on its sale to Accenture, Goat on its sale to WPP, Team ITG on its investment from Bridgepoint, and Talon on its sale to Equistone, among many others.
