GP Bullhound advises Francisco Partners on its acquisition of EfficientIP

GP Bullhound has advised Francisco Partners, a leading global investment firm that specialises in partnering with technology and technology-enabled businesses, on its acquisition of EfficientIP, a global leader in DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management (DDI) and DNS security solutions. 

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Paris, EfficientIP helps organisations simplify, secure and automate critical network infrastructure services through its integrated DDI and DNS security platform. The company serves more than 1,500 customers worldwide across financial services, telecommunications, energy, retail, education and the public sector, and employs approximately 220 people across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

As part of the transaction, Norman Girard will continue to lead EfficientIP as Chief Executive Officer, and founders Jean-Yves Bisiaux, Sylvain Galliano and Ronan David have reinvested in the business. Francisco Partners will work closely with the EfficientIP management team to scale the company’s operations, expand its global presence and accelerate innovation as demand grows for secure, automated network infrastructure.

This deal underlines the strength of GP Bullhound’s technology and cybersecurity advisory presence, and reflects the growing demand we are seeing from investors and founders for specialist support in network infrastructure and security M&A.
