Greg Smith is a Partner at GP Bullhound, and Head of the firm’s New York office. Greg has over 30 years of extensive digital marketing and technology M&A experience. Prior to joining GP Bullhound, he was Managing Partner of AdMedia Partners. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Head of the Media and Technology group at Dean Witter’s investment banking division, responsible for all technology, communications and media business. Prior to that he worked in technology investment banking at E. F. Hutton and at Dillon, Read.
During his investment banking career, Greg has completed more than 200 M&A transactions and 75 equity public offerings for communications, technology and media companies. Clients and transactions have included ADTRAN, aQuantive, Ansira, Arnold Communications, AT&T, Bell South, Bozell, CKS Group, COMPAQ , Cunningham Communications, Dell, Epsilon, Frankel, IBM, Interpublic Group, Glover Park, LEVEL Studios, Media Storm, Olson, and Poppe Tyson. He has an undergraduate degree from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
